How to commission a pet portrait

Commissioning a portrait couldn’t be easier, simply send two or three good quality photos of your pet together with the size option you prefer and any special instructions. Please let me know the name of your pet as well as the date you require your portrait. I will then appraise them and advise on the best options for you.

Tips for a good portrait photograph...

Position yourself at eyelevel with your pet, about 2/3ft away and focus on the eyes and nose. A good way to hold your pet’s attention is to hold treat just above the camera lens as you take the photo. Try to capture the entire head, shoulders and chest, don’t crop too closely. Avoid taking shots from above your pet or too close to the pet’s nose. Take a variety of different angles, a ‘three quarters’ view is good. Have the light source behind you so the light is shining onto your pet’s face. They need to be of good quality we and in sharp focus. Have your phone settings set to RAW. It is usually best if you can supply high resolution originals which you can download from your photos folder on the icloud. Good luck!
